Business Litigation

Stephen represents both individuals and businesses in business and contract litigation. Stephen has represented creditors, plaintiffs, debtors and defendants in contract litigation across the State of Florida.
Stephen has experience in cases ranging from collection matters to high stakes multi-million dollar litigation.

Stephen believes in efficient, result oriented litigation. When possible, he pursues early resolution to commercial disputes, but he is also prepared to take cases to trial if necessary.

Construction/Real Property Litigation
Stephen has experience with a wide array of construction and real property litigation. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in real estate contract claims, construction defect litigation, boundary disputes, lien claims, landlord-tenant matters, title insurance related disputes, fraud claims, and foreclosures. His experience includes both residential and commercial property litigation. He has been lead counsel on claims resulting in recoveries of millions of dollars in damages and has defended real estate claims involving millions of dollars.

Stephen has particular experience representing professionals such as attorneys and real estate in real estate related disputes.
Insurance Law
​
Stephen has represented both insureds and insurers in claims and litigation. At the beginning of Stephen's career, Stephen primarily represented insureds in professional liability claims. He later represented insurers in complex insurance coverage disputes involving CGL E&O, D&O, and environmental policies.

Stephen is available to represent insureds at the request of their insurers and can advise insureds regarding their insurance policies.

Corporate and Contract Law
Stephen advises businesses and individuals as to contract law issues. He also advises clients regarding corporate law issues, including the formation of business entities and regarding the buying and selling of business entities. He has represented businesses and individuals in matters relating to the acquisition of businesses, along with dissolution of businesses and partnerships.

Land Use and Claims Against the Government
Stephen advises businesses and individuals on land use issues and claims against government entities. He has successfully resolved claims against governmental entities under Florida's Bert Harris Act and Section 1983. He has helped clients navigate challenging land use problems. His past experience also includes representation of defendants in Section 1983 claims.
